Flawless in Every Way
We stayed three nights at Bagh Tola. I don’t even know where to begin. Eric, Joy and Estelle were fantastic hosts. The rooms are spacious, excellently maintained, simply but stylishly furnished and sparkling clean. The food was delicious, we had chicken, fish, salads and many vegetarian dishes during our stay. After being in India for two weeks, I think we finally know, because of the food at Bagh Tola, how delicious home cooked Indian food is. And the desserts!!!!! Oh my goodness, the desserts!!!! After every safari we were greeted with cool towels and various drinks. Sadly our safaris were not arranged through Bagh Tolo. We highly recommend booking your safaris directly through Bagh Tola, as Eric is a very highly respected naturalist who has spent many years in the area. Also to mention the staff they went above and beyond in every way. 110% we would stay at Bagh Tola should we ever visit Kanha again. And for the record I am very picky and usually only like 5 star properties.

Unparalleled Hospitality, Beauty, and Food What a beautiful place and what wonderful hosts. Have never had such a wholesome experience! I cannot wait to go back here again. The food was amazing and the rooms were so comfortable and spacious. It’s a prefect place for groups to socialise around the fireplace and experience nature.

Baugh Tola kanha.. homelike stay Hi, so we three friends(ladies) one male friend stayed at this fabulous hotel, the staff was amazing, soft spoken n very helpful in every way. The couple running this hotel Eric n Joy were very friendly and so knowledgeable about the Kanha forest and their environment. The food n picnic baskets were like our home food too. Came back to Mumbai rejuvenated.. and oh yes the driver of our gypsy was the hotels driver Vikram.. do ask for his services as he has the best eyesight I think.. spotted Tigers fr us on all our three days there. 👍🏼

Amazing Holiday at Jungle What a gorgeous trip this was ! The jungle is simply mesmerising. Every single day waking up before dawn didn’t seem so hard when you were about to drive in the jungle for hours. I was never tired of it. Of Course I saw the tiger and cried a little. It does something to you, touches you deep inside. But it was more than seeing the tiger. Eric sir made the ride so much fun. He is a treasure himself. So many stories, so many encounters, absolutely nail biting. Not a minute has gone by feeling bored at BaghTola Kanha. Joylet is a wonderful lady, she looks after you. Both of them have made this place a little heaven, a little home for everyone. Every staff member looks after you. They know exactly what you want and will do their best to provide. and OMG the chef, I could not meet him before I left. I never thought I would say this, but the simple Poha is to die for. every meal was delicious. Thank you so much every one of you. Everyone , please go there.

Fantastic place to stay in Kanha Kisli area Our family stayed at Bagh Tola for 3 days this summer. We made reservations via email and online payments, which was a managed well by Kanchan who provided us with a lot of information that we had asked for. Communication was prompt and courteous via email, text and calls. They also helped of reserve safaris in the park. The property is beautiful and made for a very comfortable stay in their nicely appointed and clean rooms. Eric who manages the property is a great guy, who ensured that our needs were more than met. There is limited wifi on the property but that’s part of a quite stay at a jungle resort. The dining choices were great, with each meal carefully prepared keeping our requests in mind, especially the fresh baked muffins and cookies that the kids loved. Early morning safaris included a nice breakfast in the forest. Managing a world class resort in the heart of Chhattisgarh is no small feat and done very well by the Bagh Tola team. We would stay again and highly recommend.

Great stay. The lodge is simple but rooms have everything one needs for comfort. The place is run very well by the D’Cunhas, Eric and Joy. Eric is a very experienced and superb Naturalist, very well respected by fellow guides and local people. Joy makes excellent desserts, and runs the place very efficiently. The food in the lodge is excellent. Both are very friendly and hospitable and kind and put you at ease right away.

Amazing place This property is nestled close to the Mukki gate – Kanha national park. It has a patch of the Sal forest and some beautiful bougainvilleas and bamboo trees. It truly felt like home away from home for us. The chef went out of his way and with Joy’s suggestions cooked us healthy but yummy meals made with local produce. We had jaggery based sweets severed and the cakes Joy baked and packed for our morning picnic breakfast was truly amazing. Eric has a vast knowledge of the forest and the history and its tigers. We had an amazing time interacting and learning more about the park. Our driver Vikram was very informed himself and we ended up with two sightings. One included two cubs as well. Recommend this place and we will be planning our return soon!

Wonderful stay and gaming experience Eric and Joy made us really welcome and made sure that we were very comfortable and sufficient for our needs including milk for our tea whenever we wanted. Eric as our guide and driver took us off on our morning and afternoon safaris. Lodge was well appointed with good aircon. Restaurant was anxious to make sure we had the type of food that we wanted. All the young men who worked there were very helpful. It was also wonderful that we managed to see three tigers thanks to the efforts of Eric and his driver who has some excellent eyesight!

A spring getaway at Bagh Tola, Kanha. I visited Kanha for the first time along with my father and a friend of his and we stayed at Bagh Tola for 3 nights. The hotel is very well maintained and is full of plants and trees. It is also very well located as the Mukki gate is a 15 minute drive away which made it very easy to go on safari. The staff are well trained and polite and were very hospitable. The highlight of our trip would have to be the food, especially the dessert. The food was very light and had a very homely feel to it. The nature in and around the property attracted a lot of different species of birds and butterflies which was the cherry on the cake. All in all, we had a very comfortable stay and will definitely return soon.
