Four quiet escapes in Meru Vann
Lord Shiva statue
This six feet tall meditating statue of Lord Shiva sits beside a rock which is 1.35 million year old in our dense Sal Forest. The statue made of fiber reinforced polymer is a hand made work of art by local artists. The serenity on his face is levitating and is being greatly admired by all visitors of MeruVann. Depicted with matted hair, a crescent moon, a third eye, and a blue throat (Neelkanth), he wields the Trishul (trident) and adorns a serpent around his neck. He is known as Pasupatinath (Lord of Animals). Through his divine forms, Shiv teaches us to coexist with nature—to revere every tree, every river, and every creature as sacred. He embodies the balance of life—stillness and movement, creation and destruction, peace and power. His message is clear: protect the earth, live in harmony with its cycles, and respect its untamed forces. Only then can we truly experience the oneness between the self and the universe, where Shiv resides in every leaf, every stone, and every heartbeat of nature.
