Amazing Experience and Great People!
We found this place on Instagram and I must say the images don’t do justice to the beauty of the property in real life! The rooms are spacious, comfortable and extremely well equipped. The food is superb! Chef Pranav and his team do a great job, we got to try soo many new things and he made sure to explain each dish in detail so we could enjoy it best. The dining venue each night is different and each one is an experience in itself. It was my birthday and my husband requested a private dinner and they did such a great job- the set up was beautiful under the stars and we even got to stargaze and see Jupiter with their telescope. The staff was very friendly and accommodating- Omkar, their assistant manager was personally available at all times and made sure all our needs were met. The safaris arranged by them were good and they provided a blanket for the morning safari and after each safari we were welcomed back with a refreshing beverage and wet towels. The naturalist with us went out of his way to make sure we get the best viewings and we did indeed! Lovely retreat and wonderful staff!
There are so many wonderful things to say about Meru Vann! Firstly, the staff are warm and friendly. They go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and taken care of. The chefs are amazing and they try to cater to your palate (thank you Pranav for making Chinese-Indian food on my first night!), guests are offered an array of choices for breakfast and different outdoor/indoor dining options at the lodge. Omkar and his team are generous and kind. Secondly, the accommodation itself is amazing, new, spacious, clean with every modern amenity. Whilst the lodge is further away from the park gate, I found that the drive to and from the gate was pleasant and it didn't really matter if you were not at the front of the queue going into the park. What matters is the skill and knowledge of the naturalist guide and driver, both Lalita (guide) and Rahul (driver) were fantastic, and we spotted tigers every day (some very close encounters), dholes (on 2 separate occasions), lots of deer and birds. Kanha is picturesque (especially with the early morning mist) and the Sal trees are quite magnificent. I wished I could have used the lodge's star gazing facilities, perhaps next time. Hidden gem, great safari base
Fantastic, quiet and peaceful retreat located near to Kanha NP. Lodge and the surrounding grounds are constructed to very high standards and in many ways functions at a 5-star equivalent level for the location. Room setup, furnishings, service, and amenities exceeded expectations, and everything in the resort was quite thoughtfully designed. Vegetarian meals were filling and flavorful, so we personally did not miss the meat aspect for the 3 days we were there. We enjoyed the 3-4 rotating dining venues which added quite a nice variety to each evening. Normally the sceptic in me is dubious about vertically integrated in-house lodges, but Nature Safari India went above and beyond with Meru Vann and delivered an experience that was probably our favorite lodging during our time in India.

This is truly a very special experience!
The property and rooms are just beautiful! The attention to detail is very apparent and appreciated. There are lots of "extras" you will not find at other hotels included in the room and bathroom, as well as courtesy laundry which is much appreciated since the park can be very dusty. The manager who greeted us was always helpful and attentive. And the gourmet food is exquisite! Everything is vegan, organic, and healthy. We were often treated by an intern chef, Pranav, who showed a true love for cooking and sharing his knowledge of the dishes with us. The courses for each meal were absolutely delicious! The Luxury Tiger Safari Lodge Experience of a Lifetime
My wife an I have recently returned from an 8-night stay in early March, 2025 at the Meru Vann Lodge, located just outside the famous tiger reserve of Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh, India. This was our first time visiting this lodge (though we had visited the park three times previously). Having traveled to about 30 countries worldwide for the main purpose of wildlife viewing experiences, I can confidently affirm that we have never before received the absolutely first class treatmnent and lodging accommodations that were provided to us by the Meru Vann Lodge. Indeed, from the excellent room quality, to the delicious meals, to the expert, keen-eyed and friendly game drive guides and jeep drivers, Meru Vann Lodge is in a whole other league when it comes to attending to the client's highest hopes for a luxury experience whilst seeing His / Her Majesty the Royal Bengal Tiger and associated wildlife. The room in which we stayed is very large with safari-themed furniture complementing the tall ceilings of the bedroom and modern bathroom with walk-in shower. There are abundant outlets for charging such camera batteries and computers. Moreover, the wifi signal was sufficiently strong in our room such that we almost never wanted for internet connections (should one require a stronger signal, simply visit the library, where the wifi reception is consistently high quality and there are many nature-themed books to read as well). Tea (such as quality green or black) and coffee as well as fresh drinking water are always available within the room. In addition, fresh fruit, including bananas, grapes, and oranges, were consistently there for the taking. The dining room staff always showed us to our table, taking time to assist us in sitting down at our chairs as we took our places at one of the beautiful teak wood tables. Serving exclusively fine vegetarian dishes, meals begin with a soup and salad. This is followed by the main course, which often consists of five or six vegetable dishes such as various curries, each served in its own little copper pot and each kindly described to us by the head chef as the meal is being served. A favorite of mine was curry mustard potatoes with green peas and covered in finely chopped purple onions. They served this delicious entree to me several times during my stay as I came to love it! Desserts, as one might expect from the quality of the main meal, were very delicious. The fudge brownie with ice cream was most memorable. But foremost amongst all of this luxury lodge experience were the outstanding game drives we had when entering Kanha National Park. Now there is one detail which everyone reading this should be aware. And this is the fact that besides getting us accommodations at the Meru Vann Lodge on very short notice, Nature Safari India, the owners and operators of this lodge, managed to get us into Kanha National Park every morning and afternnon (or evening) for wildlife game drives. This is remarkable because the passes to enter the park are limited in number and usually sold out weeks or months in advance of one's arrival. Thus, the Meru Vann Lodge / Nature Safari India Team had to coordinate with both themselves and with the Kanha National Park entrance pass staff for each and every one of the 16 game drives we were fortunate to have experienced. This was, as we later found out, all done seamlessly behind the scenes, so to speak. But it required real time and effort on the part of members of the Nature Safari Inbdia staff to wait in line and get the entrance passes for us. Thank you Meru Vann Lodge / Nature Safari India for having moved the proverbial Heaven and Earth to get us into the park for each of these incredible experiences inside Kanha National Park. Becuase of your efforts, we had incredible viewing of the following: eight different Royal Bengal Tigers (some of which we saw on different days and as many as four times for one male and four times for a female), Sloth Bear, a group of 10 Asian Wild Dogs / Dholes (very rare species and only seen because our guides knew we wished to see it and kept trying to make that happen), Asian Leopard, Scarlet Minivet, Purple Sunbird, Indian Thick-knee, many other Birds, and the rare Antelope known as the Blackbuck. Certainly my wife never thought she would see all of these species and she felt it was just about as great an experience as having seen the Snow Leopard! We can only thank and extend our greatest appreciation to the expert guide (ours was Birsingh) and jeep/gypsy driver that Meru Vann Lodge / Nature safari india provided. We give Meru Vann Lodge our highest recommendation and most heartfelt thanks. Please examine the attached photographs we obtained while on game drives. These speak better than any words about how amazing our stay was at this luxury lodge and associated tiger reserve.
